Integration connected but something is wrong

Your reservation system is connected, but Bonnie shows the wrong availability, bookings are not appearing, or something else is off. Most integration issues have a straightforward cause. Work through the checks below.

If you would rather we look into it, send us a call-ID and ask, and Sophie, the chat in the corner, can help you find it.

First: confirm the integration is active

  1. In the dashboard, go to Assistants then your assistant then the Integrations tab.
  2. Check the status shows as connected and green.
  3. If it shows an error or is grey, the connection has dropped. Reconnect it or contact us. See Get help.

"No availability" but there are free tables

Bonnie reads availability directly from your reservation system. If the system shows nothing, Bonnie reports nothing, even if tables are physically free. Check these in order.

Group size threshold set too high

The most common cause for larger parties. If Bonnie's group threshold is set to the same number as your reservation system's online maximum (for example both 12), the system returns no results for a party of 12 and Bonnie says "no availability" instead of routing to your group flow.

Fix: set Bonnie's maximum to one less than your system's online limit. If your system allows up to 12 online, set Bonnie to 11, so 12 and above route to your group flow. See Group bookings: set the threshold.

No shift or ticket active for that date

Your reservation system controls which dates and slots are bookable. If no shift is published for a date, Bonnie correctly reports no availability. Open your system, go to your shifts or time slots, and confirm a published shift exists for the date and party size (not in draft).

A same-day booking is too close to the time

Some systems (including Guestplan) cannot process a booking within 15 minutes of the reservation time, so the caller hears "no availability". Bonnie offers to transfer so your team can add it manually. For same-day requests close to the time, you can configure Bonnie to transfer directly: "For reservations requested for today within the next 2 hours, transfer the call to the restaurant."

Zenchef

Zenchef has two APIs: one for the public website widget, and one for in-house bookings (which Bonnie uses). They can show different availability. If your widget shows open slots but Bonnie says nothing is available, ask us to switch Bonnie to the widget API. This is a one-time change on our side. Contact us via Get help.

OpenTable

Guestplan

Tebi and SevenRooms

Bonnie does not write bookings directly into Tebi or SevenRooms. Instead she sends the caller a WhatsApp with your booking link so the guest completes the reservation themselves. Make sure your booking link is in your assistant instructions. See Writing good instructions.

You recently switched systems

Bookings Bonnie made in your old system before the switch will not appear in the new one. They were never migrated. Check the old system for those bookings, and make sure your Bonnie integration is updated to point at the new system. Old connections do not switch automatically. See Connect your reservation system.

Still not solved?

Send us the call-ID of a call where the issue occurred, with a short description of what you expected and what happened. We can trace exactly what Bonnie sent to your reservation system and what it replied. See Get help.
